Edison Smart Champions Community Spirit in 2025 and Announces Sponsorship of the Basingstoke Bison’s 5 December Game
Edison Smart is proud to close out 2025 by celebrating an incredible year of community involvement, team achievements, and our continued commitment to supporting well loved local organisations. Nothing reflects that spirit more than our sponsorship of the Basingstoke Bison’s home game on 5 December 2025, a date we are encouraging the entire Basingstoke community to join us for.
The Basingstoke Bison are more than a team. They are a landmark of local pride, unity, and sporting spirit. Many of our team members are dedicated fans, including Abbey Gunther, one of Edison Smart’s biggest Bison supporters, who embodies our passion for championing the local community. We are thrilled to be backing a team that brings people together, inspires families, and strengthens the local identity. We encourage residents, families, and businesses across Basingstoke to come and show their support at what promises to be an exciting and memorable game between Basingstoke Bison and Telford Tigers.
Our commitment to local sport goes even further. This year we continued our sponsorship of Tadley Calleva FC and celebrated the success of Edison Smart recruiter Alex Miller, an accomplished winger who represents our values both on the pitch and within the community, especially after scoring a decisive winning goal this season.
Alongside our sponsorships, we are proud to have delivered a series of community selfless days that reflect our values and commitment to creating positive impact throughout the region.
Supporting Families at The Safe
We began the week at The Safe, assisting with the charity’s vital work providing counselling, playgroups, clothing, and essential items to families, parents, and expectant parents.
Serving with Compassion at The Camrose Centre
Our team then volunteered at The Camrose Centre in Basingstoke, offering support to people experiencing homelessness, helping with meals, and contributing to day to day services.
Hands-On Help at Cold Ash School
Recognising the rising pressures on local schools, we dedicated time to Cold Ash School, where we completed the physically demanding but rewarding task of laying new bark across the playground, reducing a significant cost for the school.
Beyond our community efforts, 2025 has also been a year of outstanding recognition for Edison Smart. We were named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025 for the South of England by the UK Fast Growth Index 2025. At the British Recruiter Awards, we proudly took home Best IT and Technology Recruitment Agency and the highly esteemed Recruitment Agency of the Year, as well as being recognised as a finalist for Best Place to Work.
As we reflect on a year defined by achievement and service, we look forward to ending 2025 by standing alongside the Basingstoke Bison and the community that supports them. We invite everyone in Basingstoke to join us on 5 December to celebrate the spirit of local sport and unity.
