Edison Smart’s Commitment to Community: Partnering with Cancer Research, St Michael’s Hospice and maintaining our partnership with Maple Ridge Primary School in 2024

Cancer Research:
Edison Smart is proud to contribute to Cancer Research and their mission to identify causes, develop prevention strategies, and find a cure for cancer. This charity holds special significance for us, as Cancer Research played a pivotal role in assisting our Office Manager Abbey Gunther’s mother through a difficult time in 2023.
St Michael’s Hospice:
Local to our offices in Basingstoke, St. Michael’s Hospice is an independent charity providing crucial support to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses in North Hampshire. Edison Smart proudly stands beside St Michael’s Hospice in their mission to bring comfort and care to those in need within our community.
Maple Ridge Primary School:
Maple Ridge Primary School is dedicated to supporting mainstream schools with specialist support enabling them to best meet the needs of their children and young people with SEND. As well as supporting children and young people to thrive and fulfil their full potential within a mainstream setting. Edison Smart is excited to continue supporting this noble cause, ensuring children and young people receive individually tailored education and develop the necessary skills for positive inclusion in the local community and beyond.
In 2023 we created Project Maple Ridge, this project saw the team at Edison Smart support the School by painting classrooms and revitalizing their sensory garden. This experience highlighted the funding challenges faced by SEN schools, leading to an official partnership with Maple Ridge for continuous support in 2024 and beyond. Our assistance at Maple Ridge includes maintenance tasks, laptop donations, and financial aid. Our internal Head of talent’s personal connection to Maple Ridge School, drives us all to join in on this worthwhile cause.
