Below are detailed responses to common queries you may have whilst on assignment through Edison Smart:
Timesheets
Where should I submit my timesheets?
Timesheets must be completed and submitted on the Time Temp portal on a weekly basis (unless it has been pre-agreed that you will be completing timesheets via a client timesheet portal). This ensures we have the necessary information to process payments accurately and on time.
What happens if I am unable to work?
If you are not working for any reason—whether it’s due to illness, personal circumstances, or project delays—please notify us immediately by emailing contractors@edisonsmart.com.
Expenses
Do I need approval for expenses?
Yes, all expenses must be pre-approved by the relevant party before submission, otherwise payment will not be processed.
How do I submit my expenses?
Expenses should be submitted via the Time Temp portal, along with your weekly timesheet. Ensure that each claim is supported by valid receipts. Submissions without receipts cannot be processed.
When will I receive payment for approved expenses?
Once expenses have been reviewed and approved, they will be reimbursed in line with your agreed payment schedule. To avoid delays, make sure all claims are accurate and include the necessary documentation.
Invoices & Payments
What is required to ensure I am paid on time?
Payments will only be made based on an authorised timesheet. It is critical that timesheets are submitted accurately and on time.
How do I know my invoicing terms?
Your invoicing terms are detailed in your Terms of Engagement with Edison Smart. This outlines the payment schedule, and any other relevant conditions agreed upon at the start of your contract.
What if I am paid through a management company?
If you are engaged via a management company, please contact them directly for assistance with invoice and payment queries. Edison Smart facilitates payments only as agreed in your contract, and any additional arrangements with a management company fall under their terms.
My assignment is coming to an end
