Account Manager – Shanghai, China 

Our client is a leading global provider of managed IoT connectivity solutions, supporting enterprises with secure and scalable deployments worldwide.

Job Purpose:

  • Drive growth and secure long-term success within an established portfolio of enterprise clients in the region.
  • Build and maintain sustainable client relationships, align with evolving customer needs, and develop account strategies to support ongoing business expansion and long-term strategic goals.
  • This role reports directly to the Regional Head.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Play an integral role in achieving and exceeding the region’s revenue targets and overall commercial objectives.
  • Identify new business and expansion opportunities within existing accounts through strategic engagement and value-driven conversations.
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with key stakeholders to explore additional avenues for growth and to promote the full portfolio of connectivity and IoT-related solutions.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance brand presence and client engagement.
  • Provide support to broader regional business development activities, as agreed with the Regional Head.

Account Management:

  • Own the customer relationship lifecycle, maintaining strong ties with senior-level contacts within client organizations.
  • Ensure consistent and open communication with clients through regular check-ins, reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Act as the liaison between client stakeholders and internal teams including product, billing, legal, and customer support.
  • Uncover additional business opportunities within current accounts through upsell, cross-sell, or solution enhancement.

Internal & External Relations:

  • External: Regional enterprise customers; business travel will be required.
  • Internal: Close collaboration with sales, finance, legal, billing, product, operations, support, and roaming teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B sales with a strong track record of quota achievement.
  • A technical background in telematics, IoT/M2M connectivity is preferred, with knowledge of sectors such as security, healthcare, utilities, asset tracking, logistics, insurance, or the automotive/transportation OEM space.
  • Proven ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value for stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting at senior executive (C-level) meetings.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
