Role Overview: As an Analytics & Energy Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in identifying energy savings and operational improvements across building portfolios. Your primary focus will be on interpreting and acting upon data from third-party Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) platforms such as Clockworks Analytics, CopperTree Analytics, and SkySpark.
You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to convert data insights into actionable recommendations that drive performance improvements and carbon reduction goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, configure, and optimise FDD analytics dashboards using platforms such as Clockworks, CopperTree, and SkySpark.
- Interpret large data sets to identify inefficiencies, faults, and energy-saving opportunities within building systems (HVAC, lighting, controls, etc.).
- Generate clear and concise reports with actionable insights for client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with controls specialists, facilities teams, and sustainability managers to deliver measurable improvements.
- Track and verify the impact of implemented energy conservation measures (ECMs).
- Support the ongoing development of analytics strategies and tools across a diverse client portfolio.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Energy Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience in building automation systems, energy analytics, or FDD platforms.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Clockworks Analytics, CopperTree Analytics, SkySpark.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, BMS, and energy conservation principles.
- Excellent data interpretation and report-writing skills.
- Passion for sustainability and continuous improvement in building performance.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with data integration and middleware platforms (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
- Experience working with ESG reporting frameworks or net-zero initiatives.
- Industry certifications (CEM, LEED, CMVP, etc.) are a plus.
