Job Summary: As a BMS Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of building management systems for a variety of projects. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of BMS solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BMS solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics for BMS projects
  • Select appropriate BMS components, controllers, sensors, and actuators to meet project requirements
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical expertise and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all BMS designs
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and provide on-site support as needed
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project integration
  • Participate in the commissioning and testing of BMS systems to verify functionality and performance
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BMS installations
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in BMS technology and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in BMS design and engineering
  • Proficiency in BMS software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and industry-specific applications
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Certification in BMS or related fields is a plus (e.g., CEM, LEED AP)
