Edison are acitvely looking to hire a a skilled and motivated BAS (Building Automation System) Controls Technician to join our client’s team in Toronto.
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems within commercial and industrial facilities.
You will ensure optimal operation of HVAC systems, lighting controls, energy management systems, and other automated building components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission BAS controls systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret system diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and staff on system operations.
- Conduct system diagnostics and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a BAS Technician or similar role in building automation or controls systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and controls.
- Proficiency with BAS software (e.g., Tridium, Niagara, Honeywell) and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites.
