Our client is a large, international Contractor and Systems Integrator who deliver projects worldwide. They have an excellent reputation for delivering world-class projects.
As the BAS Design Engineer, you will support the delivery of multiple projects across various sectors including life science, data centre, commercial and education.
This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary.
- Design building automation systems for large commercial office buildings, data centers, and education projects
- Participate meetings to receive project
- Work with contractors to coordinate and ensure compatibility/feasibility of all equipment
- Coordinate with other Design Engineers to provide recommended specifications
- Prepare a complete engineering package of all required network diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, flow diagrams, valve and damper schedules, bill of material, and equipment submitting for approval by the client engineering firm and delivery to the installation team
- Provide technical support for the sales team
- Drive employee engagement
- Ensure that all quality and safety standards and policies are met
Requirements
- Engineering degree from accredited college or university
- Knowledge and understanding of industrial HVAC applications, ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, and/ or Lon to provide system network diagrams and integration to 3rd party equipment and systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Microsoft Vision experience is preferred, AutoCAD or other BIM software is also considered
