Our client is a globally recognized fintech business at the forefront of online multi-asset trading, with a strong presence across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM. Serving a diverse global client base, the company provides access to a broad range of markets including FX, commodities, indices, and digital assets through an advanced proprietary platform.

Known for its sophisticated trading infrastructure, deep liquidity relationships, and real-time execution capabilities, the business is entering a new phase of strategic expansion. As such, it is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology evolution and support long-term growth objectives.

This is a high-impact executive opportunity for a technology leader with deep domain expertise in trading platforms and a global outlook. The CTO will act as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, driving innovation, scalability, and technological resilience across the business.

This role requires a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in FX, commodities, or high-volume trading environments, and a track record of building secure, high-performance systems in complex, regulated markets.

Key Responsibilities Technology Strategy & Innovation

• Define and execute a scalable global technology strategy aligned with the firm’s long-term growth and product roadmap.
• Lead architectural design, platform modernization, and infrastructure investments that future-proof the company.

Platform Development & Operations

• Oversee end-to-end development of the proprietary trading platform, ensuring low-latency execution, resilience, and user experience.
• Optimize performance and reliability across front-end, middleware, and back-end systems.

Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure robust cybersecurity protocols and infrastructure aligned with global regulatory requirements.
• Stay ahead of evolving data protection and trading compliance mandates in key markets.

Data Engineering & Analytics

• Drive the company’s data strategy, including real-time analytics, event processing, and client behavior insights.
• Leverage AI/ML for predictive analytics, fraud detection, and operational optimization.

Leadership & Culture

• Lead and scale a high-performing global engineering and IT organization across multiple geographies.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner with product, operations, and commercial teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to go-to-market planning, client onboarding, and the continuous evolution of core trading services.

Candidate Profile

• Senior technology executive with CTO or Deputy CTO experience in a trading, brokerage, fintech, or capital markets environment.
• Proven experience building and scaling complex, high-availability trading or financial systems.
• Deep technical expertise in low-latency architecture, market data handling, cybersecurity, and cloud-native platforms.
• Strong understanding of FX, commodities, derivatives, or high-frequency trading environments.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams and managing through rapid growth.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to influence product direction, business strategy, and client experience.
• Skilled communicator and board-level contributor with experience managing external stakeholders and regulators.
