- Oversee the testing and validation of LV and MV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, busbar, and critical power systems.
- Coordinate and manage integrated system testing (IST), including simulation of grid interactions and failover scenarios.
- Review and approve commissioning documentation including plans, method statements, test scripts, and reports.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with design engineers, general contractors, OEMs, vendors, and client teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Manage and supervise commissioning agents, electricians, and third-party vendors on-site.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical guidance on-site during commissioning phases.
- Ensure robust interface testing between facility grid systems (utility connection, HV substations) and critical site infrastructure.
- Support capacity planning, load testing, and power management optimization across phases of delivery.
- Contribute to lessons learned, continuous improvement, and commissioning standards development.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of electrical commissioning experience in data centre or mission-critical environments.
- Proven expertise with facility grid infrastructure and interaction with utility power sources.
- Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical systems, including redundancy (N+1, 2N), fault detection, and isolation.
- Familiarity with commissioning protocols such as ASHRAE/NIBS or IST standards.
- Experience with SCADA, BMS, and EPMS integration testing is a strong advantage.
