About the Role: seeking a skilled Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join the team. The FAE will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and our customers’ needs. This position requires a blend of technical acumen and customer-facing skills, ensuring successful implementation and support of our products.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to showcase and sell technology
- Assist customers with the installation of SDKs and algorithms, providing tailored HW/SW solutions
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, liaising with the engineering team to provide optimal solutions
- Work with customers to draft technical proposals and statements of work, capturing their requirements accurately
- Facilitate regular technical discussions to help customers understand deliverables and resolve any issues
- Conduct training sessions for customers on product usage and best practices
- Coordinate with Sales and Engineering teams to design appropriate application systems and develop product specifications based on customer needs
- Engage with Product Marketing and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence product development
- Conduct feasibility studies for customer projects
- Some travel required (5-10% local travel)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in a technical customer support or business development role, particularly with SDKs
- Basic knowledge of software perception systems and/or computer vision
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with Docker containers
- Familiarity with Linux or Unix-based operating systems
- Experience with neural network/machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or TensorFlow-Lite
- Experience with ONNX runtime is a plus
- Proficiency in parallel C/C++ programming languages such as CUDA, OpenVX, or NEON is advantageous
- Solid understanding of intermediate Git concepts, including branching, rebasing, and merge conflict resolution
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug issues, communicate effectively with the engineering team, and implement system updates
