A global leader in critical infrastructure and data center solutions is seeking a Head of Services to oversee and elevate national service operations across Japan.
About the Role As Head of Services, you will lead a growing team of project managers, field engineers, and service technicians, ensuring high-quality delivery of services, customer satisfaction, and business profitability. This is a newly created role, offering the chance to shape and drive the future of service excellence for one of the most important markets in Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all field service operations across Japan
- Oversee a team of 4 direct reports, plus approved pipeline roles
- Drive high-performance delivery across installation, commissioning, and post-sales support
- Take full ownership of P&L and budget management
- Develop and grow long-term service agreements with key clients
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and regional leadership teams
- Enhance project management processes, reporting, and operational workflows
Key Requirements
- Proven experience managing technical teams in a services or operations environment
- Strong background in power systems, thermal solutions, or data center cooling
- Demonstrated project management expertise
- Hands-on experience managing budgets and P&L
- Familiarity with service agreements, contracts, and SLAs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Fluency in English; Japanese proficiency is highly desirable
