About the Role On behalf of our client, a respected building automation and controls contractor, we are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to support government-focused projects in the Pensacola, FL area. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, stability, and career growth in a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, programming, and servicing of HVAC control systems, primarily in secure or government facilities
  • Interface with Niagara 4 framework for system integration and commissioning
  • Troubleshoot and maintain BACnet-based building automation systems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and control schematics
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and site personnel to ensure high-quality, code-compliant results
  • Maintain detailed records and follow all site security protocols

Candidate Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC controls or BAS/BMS systems
  • Niagara 4 certification strongly preferred
  • BACnet protocol proficiency required
  • Working knowledge of major control system platforms (Tridium, Johnson Controls, Siemens, etc.)
  • Strong electrical and low-voltage troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean background
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in secure environments (military, government, or DoD projects)
  • Additional certifications (HVAC/R, OSHA 10/30, EPA Universal, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Modbus, LON, and integration platforms
