Edison Smart are partnered with a growing Building Automation and HVAC business located in the Pacitifc North West who are actively looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to support their growth and expansion within the WA, CA, ID and UT territories.
This is a high-impact role responsible for developing strategic relationships, managing key accounts, and closing new business with contractors, consultants, building owners. You’ll be the face of the company in the region—identifying opportunities, solving customer problems, and delivering tailored automation solutions that make buildings smarter, safer, and more sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow sales pipeline for building automation systems, controls, and service agreements in the Pacific Northwest region.
- Identify, target, and develop new customer relationships in key verticals (commercial, healthcare, education, data centers, etc.).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and building owners.
- Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to deliver competitive proposals.
- Track projects from design to post-installation, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Represent the company at local industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Meet or exceed regional revenue goals and KPIs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in building automation, HVAC controls, energy management, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of BAS technologies (e.g., BACnet, LonWorks, DDC systems).
- Strong network of contacts among mechanical contractors, engineers, and real estate stakeholders in the Seattle area.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel within the region.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business.
- Experience with leading OEM platforms (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider, Tridium).
- Knowledge of LEED, WELL, and energy efficiency standards
