Senior BESS/EMS Engineer – Freelance – Germany (Remote + Travel)
Edison Smart are working with a renewable energy consultancy delivering battery storage and energy automation solutions across Central Europe. They’re looking for a freelance BESS/EMS engineer to join on a high-priority project based in Germany.
About the Role:
- Act as a technical specialist for energy storage systems
- Configure and test EMS platforms to support grid compliance and performance
- Lead integration between automation systems (SCADA, DCS) and energy assets
What You’ll Need:
- Proven experience in grid-connected BESS or EMS systems (design or deployment)
- Familiarity with energy automation environments (Schneider, ABB, Siemens)
- EU work authorization required
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites in Germany
Details:
- Initial 6-month contract with high extension potential
- Remote-first setup with project-based site visits

- Daily rate: flexible depending on profile
