Senior Field Automation Supervisor – Mission Critical
Location: Atlanta, GA
Travel: Up to 25% (within U.S.)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation Field Supervisor to lead the on-site execution of automation systems for mission-critical data center construction projects
This role is responsible for managing field crews and subcontractors, ensuring the successful installation, startup, commissioning, and integration of PLC, BAS, and SCADA systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate on-site teams across electrical, automation, and networking scopes.
- Oversee scheduling, QA/QC inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings.
- Lead and document system testing (Levels 2–5), functional checkouts, and integration.
- Collaborate with commissioning agents and clients to validate system performance and compliance.
- Enforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, and internal safety protocols during all phases of work.
- Lead risk assessments, live system cutovers, and field change documentation (RFIs, FCDs, ECNs).
- Act as the primary on-site liaison with general contractors, client reps, commissioning agents, and trade partners.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in automation systems (PLC/BAS/SCADA) for mission-critical environments such as data centers.
- Strong background in low-voltage electrical systems, network infrastructure, and commissioning practices.
- Proficient in project management and construction tools such as: BIM 360, Procore, MS Project, Power BI
