A global leader in engineering, design, and advisory services is seeking a Smart Buildings Consultant to join their growing team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. With a strong portfolio of high-profile developments across the region—including smart cities, giga projects, healthcare, transport, and commercial infrastructure—this is an opportunity to shape the future of intelligent buildings across the Middle East.
About the Role: As a Smart Buildings Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering cutting-edge digital building solutions. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultancy on smart building strategy, integration, and technology for major developments throughout the Kingdom and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the development of smart building strategies, from early concept through to design and implementation.
• Advise clients on smart building technologies, systems integration, IoT, and digital transformation.
• Develop technical documentation, specifications, and RFPs related to BMS, EMS, lighting controls, ICT, and other smart systems.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and technology providers to ensure integrated smart solutions.
• Conduct technology evaluations and contribute to digital master planning.
• Support project delivery across a range of sectors, including commercial, education, transport, and healthcare.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory developments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Smart Buildings, Building Automation, or Intelligent Building Systems.
• Strong knowledge of BMS, EMS, IoT platforms, integration protocols, and smart building standards.
• Experience working on complex building or infrastructure projects within a consultancy, engineering firm, or technology provider.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, ICT, or Systems Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience in the Middle East is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
