About the Role
Edison Smart are partnering with a global leader in IoT and connectivity solutions is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its EMEA Sales team. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic business insight to drive customer success and secure new business opportunities. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, the Solutions Architect will collaborate closely with the sales organization and cross-functional teams to design and deliver best-in-class IoT connectivity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand their technical and business requirements.
- Translate complex customer needs into technically sound proposals that align with strategic goals.
- Architect innovative IoT connectivity solutions that address both current challenges and future scalability.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
- Conduct customer workshops and technical sessions that drive adoption and solution clarity.
- Draft detailed Statements of Work (SoWs) outlining project deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, providing feedback for product improvements.
- Identify trends in market needs and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of connectivity technologies, platforms, and protocols.
- Support internal sales efforts by contributing to training, enablement, and proposal development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing or supporting enterprise-grade IoT and mobility solutions.
- Proven knowledge of IoT platforms, device management, SCADA systems, and middleware.
- Strong understanding of connectivity technologies: cellular (4G/5G), LPWAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, satellite, and IP-based protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and commercial discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience leading technical workshops.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and travel within the EMEA region as needed.
