As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll be the trusted technical advisor for customers, from pre-sales discovery through to solution delivery and long-term success. You’ll play a hands-on role designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, helping customers visualize insights, and guiding them on how to best use the platform to meet their business and compliance goals.
This role is ideal for technically skilled professionals with a passion for customer engagement, problem-solving, and modern data architecture, especially those looking to be part of a fast-moving international company entering the Japanese market.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert during pre-sales, supporting solution design and customer onboarding
- Understand customer requirements and help translate them into scalable, high-performance data architecture
- Guide clients through platform deployment, integration, and tuning
- Build dashboards and visualizations using Grafana and other tools
- Support customer teams via Slack, Zoom, and email, helping resolve data or system-related issues
- Collaborate with internal product teams to contribute feedback and create helpful documentation and tutorials in Japanese
- Deliver best practices around stream ingestion, transformation, and cloud-native storage systems
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Atleast 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, data engineering, or solutions architecture
- Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written) with business-level English
- Hands-on experience with CDN technologies (e.g. Akamai, CloudFront, Google Cloud CDN)
- Strong skills with Linux, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proficient in SQL or search/query languages (e.g. Elasticsearch, PromQL)
- Familiarity with data ingestion pipelines and tools like Logstash, FluentD, Kafka, or ETL frameworks
- Experience with visualization tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Redash
- Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements with Japanese enterprise clients
