Senior/Staff Electrical Engineer – Next-Gen Medical Devices
Salary: $150k – $185k (DOE)
Location: Boston Area (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
A fast-growing MedTech company is seeking a Senior/Staff Electrical Engineer to join their R&D team developing advanced implantable and wearable systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a passion for solving complex problems in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design of analog/digital circuits and PCB layouts
- Perform system integration, prototyping, and testing
- Support wireless features (BLE, NFC, Cellular)
- Contribute to risk analysis, validation, and compliance (e.g., IEC standards)
- Drive root cause analysis for field issues
- Collaborate across hardware, firmware, and mechanical teams
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee external resources
Key Skills & Experience:
- Around 5+ years in hardware design
- PCB design & layout
- Analogue & digital circuit design & simulation
- Skilled with tools (Altium, Cadence, LTSpice)
- Strong background in low-power systems, batteries, and sensors
- Familiarity with wireless technologies (BLE, NFC, Wi-Fi etc.)
- Embedded systems experience
- Knowledge of compliance, risk, and test protocols
- Python/C for hardware test automation
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
