Edison Smart is collaborating with a top-tier system integrator renowned for delivering cutting-edge building automation system (BAS) solutions throughout the New York metro area. This integrator has been providing expert automation and system integration services across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Their strong industry presence and consistent growth make them a leader in building automation.

We are currently looking for talented and driven BAS Controls Engineers to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform service visits and scheduled maintenance on BAS equipment while fostering excellent client relationships
  • Diagnose and fix installation issues and system faults
  • Work closely with customers to assess their service requirements, coordinate appointments, and deliver outstanding support
  • Continuously monitor building systems to maintain optimal operational efficiency
  • Recommend and implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve building performance
  • Conduct site surveys and assist operations teams with project estimates
  • Handle software programming, system startups, fine-tuning, calibration, and commissioning of building automation systems
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry developments, technologies, and best practices
  • Collaborate with project and service managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience in HVAC controls
  • Familiarity with Honeywell or Johnson Controls systems preferred
  • Experience with Niagara Framework is advantageous
  • Knowledge of LON or BACnet protocols
  • Ability to interpret HVAC schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting abilities
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
