As a Controls Technician III, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service for the installation, programming, and maintenance of commercial digital control systems. You’ll work closely with customers to ensure their building automation systems operate at peak performance, all while developing your skills and advancing your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Building Automation Systems (BAS), including service contracts, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with direct digital control systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, commissioning, and system modifications as required.
- Inspect and analyze trend logs, reports, schedules, hardware, and programming to maintain system integrity.
- Support HVAC technicians with controls-related technical expertise.
- Develop and implement programming and graphics for new and retrofit projects.
- Commission installations and verify that control sequences meet specified requirements.
- Train customers and operations staff, providing follow-up support as needed.
- Complete and review work orders with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance processes and service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodation).
- Required licenses or training cards as mandated by local regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience mentoring junior technicians.
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Proficiency with test instruments, calibration tools, and DDC controllers.
- Familiarity with BACnet, LON, Modbus, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL integration protocols.
- Strong computer and networking skills.
- Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification.
- Ability to read wiring and controls flow diagrams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Customer-focused, results-driven, and a strong team player.

Compensation
- Hourly pay range: $42.00 – $61.00
