We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator (Building Automation Systems) to join their dynamic . This individual will play a critical role in the accurate and timely preparation of cost estimates for building automation systems (BAS), PLC and SCADA.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze specifications, drawings, and scope of work for BAS / PLC / SCADA projects.
- Develop detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, and subcontractor quotes.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project management teams during the bidding process.
- Evaluate and select appropriate equipment and systems based on project requirements.
- Perform risk assessments and value engineering when necessary.
- Manage estimating timelines and ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Maintain vendor relationships and stay updated on market pricing and trends.
- Support project turnover by providing complete estimate documentation to operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in estimating building automation or HVAC control systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and integrated BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara, Tridium, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.).
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., QuoteSoft, Accubid, or internal CRM/ERP tools).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, control schematics, and specifications.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
